This is a new type of swimming pool inspired by the Dadohae (Korean archipelago) off the coast of Busan. This promenade-style swimming pool that combines the pool with a garden, it is designed so that you can both appreciate the water while taking a stroll through the garden, and appreciate the garden while taking a dip in the pool. Rather than pulling focus to its size or a particular time of day, this space offers a novel scenic and experiential quality. This swimming pool reflects the theme of ‘a natural space in which you can fully immerse yourself’.

부산 앞바다의 다도해를 모티브로 하는 새로운 유형의 수영장이다. 정원과 수영장이 결합된 산책형 수영장으로 거닐다 보면 물을 마주하고 수영을 하다보면 다시금 정원을 마주할 수 있도록 구성하였다. 자체의 규모나 특정시점으로의 조망으로 특화하기보다 경관적으로, 경험적으로 새로움을 선사하는 공간이며 ‘온전히 몸을 담그는 자연’을 구현하는 수영장으로 조성하였다. Photographer: 김종오
