This project is conceived from a consideration of ‘contemporary travel’ and is a reinterpretation of ‘Gotjawal’ which is Jeju Island’s unique natural ecosystem. We recreate the scenery of unspoiled nature in the hotel. It also embodies the experience of hotels and resorts, which cannot be replicated in the wild. Depth is added with multi-stemmed trees, and the colors of Jeju are incorporated through various understory plantings and rocks. As you stroll along the winding trails, you will encounter a pond that allows you to capture the sky of Jeju in your eyes.

‘동시대의 여행’에 대한 고민으로부터 출발했으며 제주도 고유의 생태자연인 ‘곶자왈’을 재해석한 프로젝트이다. 천연자연의 경관을 구현하면서도 야생에서는 할 수 없는 호텔과 리조트의 경험을 그 안에 담았다. 다간형의 교목으로 깊이감을 더하고 다양한 하부식재와 암석을 통해 제주의 색채를 입혔으며 구불구불한 산책로를 따라 걷다보면 어느샌가 마주하게 되는 수반을 통해 제주의 하늘까지 눈에 담도록 구성했다. Collaborator: 비오이엔씨, 신광, EON SLD Photographer: 김종오
